The R&D team has doubled in the last 2 years, and they now need managerial staff to lead these new teams and drive projects from concept through to completion.The company pride themselves on the innovative work they do, coupled with the excellent service they give their customers. They now require a project manager to help drive projects internally, and co-ordinate the correct resource.Role: Engineering Project ManagerSalary: £40,000 - £55,000 10% bonusLocation: BrightonKey Responsibilities:Plan, Co-ordinate, track and control the Software and algorithm development projects.Team building and staffing for individual projects.Conform to the engineering processes.Risk analysis and managementBe able to resolute problems quickly and efficiently.Be able to competently define project objectives, and communicate effectively with the different teams.Involved in design reviews and guide team with decision making.Key Skills:Degree level qualified (or equivalent) Computer Science, Electronics, Maths or PhysicsGood experience in an engineering environment, ideally in an Automotive or Software/algorithm domain.At least 3 years' experience leading projects through the full development lifecycleVery good communicator, and ideally with experience of working in a multi-site, multi-country organisation.Highly desirable skills:Automotive/Product technology knowledgeSoftware/Algorithm development experienceBasic requirements engineering skills (including Effort, Cost estimation, Project planning, monitoring and risk management).The company are moving quickly on this role, and they have made themselves available to conduct interviews immediately.
