BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – Investor Relations Location: London SE1 Salary£30,000 p.a. basic – OTE £40,000 p.a. + excellent benefits.   Experienced new business development account manager with investor relations / financial clients experience required for this reputable, well established organisation based in Waterloo(50% new business 50% existing account management).   You will be responsible for helping clients succeed with their Investor Relations & CorporateCommunications programmes, and to be part of a growing, profitable company, which provides a positive work environment, based on mutual respect and career opportunity.  You will also be responsible for driving revenue and developing consultative business relationships with existing Disclose & Investor Relations accounts across the UK.   Responsibilities for Business Development Manager, Investor Relations * A self-starter who is motivated to pick up the phone, build relationships,identify new opportunitiesand close deals.  You must be confident on the phone and face to face with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. * Consultative sales techniques (e.g. SPIN)in order to secure and maintain business * Understand client’s needs and decision making processes. * Presenting USP (Unique Selling Points) while selling other services; be one step ahead of competition in client negotiations by using lateral/creative thinking. * EnsuringIR targets are reached or exceeded. * Constantlymonitor actual vs revenue targets and take corrective actionas necessary * Provide weekly sales report to the DirectorStrategic IRincluding status on revenue analysis, competition activity and product feedback). * Develop a large portfolio of major accounts as their exclusive preferred supplier * To go beyond client expectations, educate them and strive to maximise their return on investment. * Ensure all clients are handled to the highest standards of customer services and everything is known. * Develop a comprehensive understanding of all companyproducts and services and the competitor marketplace. * Influence customer personnel at all levels from Board Members to Product Users; educating them when required. * Research, advise and persuade clients’ executives on strategic IR solutions that would bring significant benefits to clients/ Become an ambassador for the companyby developing strong relationships with stakeholders, focusing on direct relationships with customers and partners(on the telephone, face to face, during meetings, presentations and events). * Maintain an up to date knowledge of corporate communications ( focusing on IRand related technological advances). * To act as the primary contact betweenclients’Investor Relations and the company. * Communicate information about products as well as market intelligence regarding competition * Maintain and communicate a working knowledge of the industry trends effecting the company * Contribute new ideas for product development and feedback to Product andsalesteam * Maintain Disclose accounts with a consistent level of contact with clients & prospects; including face to face meetings and over the phone * Coordinate and lead competitor and market intelligence feedback to support Product efforts in maintaining and evolving IR related productsrange   Requirements for Business Development Manager – Investor Relations * Ability to always be one step ahead of competition in client negotiations by using lateral/creative thinking * Extensive experience of selling intoInvestor Relations and financial communicationsmarkets * To be ready to be CIR qualified (Certificate in Investor Relations) * Confident and personable on the phone and face to face with excellent presentation skills * Able to understand a client’s structure and quickly identify all decision makers, influencers, and users
